Availability and Shift Partners
Below are different shift options. If you choose more than one option, please let us know your order of preference.
Unless you are selected for a team working pre/post festival you will be able to access the site anytime as of midday Wednesday and stay until midday Monday.
For all of the options below, you will be required to attend a briefing session on site before you begin volunteering. There will be multiple briefings, days/times will be confirmed closer to the festival.
Option 1a: Thursday to Friday/Saturday - This will involve working a long shift on Thursday (approx. 12 hours) and one normal (6hr) shift on either Friday or Saturday. You can arrive on site anytime as of midday Wednesday and stay until midday Monday. Please only express your interest in this option if you feel you will be able to work this long shift on Thursday. It is a busy get in day with the majority of the audience arriving on site. Breaks will be included. Approximately 120 places in total. You will need to arrive on site no later than Thursday morning and attend a briefing before you begin volunteering. The Thursday shift will likely begin around midday as the site opens to customers early afternoon.
Option 1b: Now full Thursday and Friday - This will involve working two 9hr shifts, one on Thursday and the second shift on Friday. You will need to arrive on site no later than Thursday morning and attend a briefing before you begin volunteering. Both these shifts will be busy with greeting customers. You will be working with either the live-in vehicle field team or the wristband exchange team. A break will be included. Approximately 30 places in total. The Thursday shift will likely begin around midday as the site opens to customers early afternoon.
Option 2: Friday to Sunday - We require the majority of volunteers to work Friday-Sunday. 3x6hr shifts (18 hours maximum), made up of one morning shift, one afternoon and one evening. You will need to arrive on site no later than Friday afternoon and attend a briefing before you begin volunteering. The earliest shifts on this option will begin Friday morning and could be as late as Sunday evening. If you have limited availability during this time (i.e. can't arrive until Friday, need to leave before Monday, let us know in the additional comments box at the end of this form) Approximately 350 places in total.
Option 3: Now full Pre/post festival - This option involves working on Tuesday-Thursday pre-festival and also on the Monday morning post-festival. The total number of hours is approximately 28hrs and is higher than other options as you will not be working at all during the festival live days. For this option, it is best if you can arrive on site Monday, but by Tuesday morning at the latest, and stay until the afternoon on Monday. Please note there will be no festival transport to the site until Wednesday so you will need to make your own way to site. Approximately 20 places in total.
Option 4: Now full Earlies Team. This option requires you to work 17 hours (you must be able to work all of the times below) allowing you to see most of the acts. Most of this team will cover arena gates and other early stewarding positions until the main volunteer teams start.
Monday 07:00 – 13:00

Option 5: Lates Team. We need a small team to cover the late night venues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This requires you to work approx. 11.5 hours (you must be able to work all of the times below). Venues covered include; Disco Ship (DJ's), Silent Disco, Comedy, Cinema and Tipi Venue. There will also be some positions outside of these venues but you will be swapped around during shifts. All lates team stewards will work in pairs and have a radio at all times. The Friday shift will begin slightly earlier as there will be a quick team briefing before you go on shift.
